The majority of money raised will be used to make an annual gift to the Ben Town Center for Childhood Cancer Research at Seattle Children’s Hospital at the end of each year.

We believe Seattle Children’s research around T-Cell Immunotherapy represents one of the best chances to find a better treatment for pediatric cancer and are proud to support their efforts.

More information around CAR-T Cell Therapy – which essentially trains the patient’s own immune system to attack cancer cells – can also be found on the National Cancer Institute website.

• $5,000 covers the cost of collecting the T-cells needed to create CAR T-cells.

• $2,500 covers the cost of tracking a patient’s blood for a year after treatment to learn more about what the T-cells are doing.

• $1,000 covers the cost of administering neuropsych testing after CAR T-cells are administered to learn more about any impact the treatment has on the brain. 

• $500 covers the cost of running blood tests to learn more about the side effects of CAR-T cells and ways to mitigate toxicity..

• $250 covers the cost of creating a practice CAR T-cell product to study in the lab.

• $100 covers the cost to test one CAR T-cell product in the lab to see how it could be improved. 

• $50 helps with all of the above!
